Player of the Week: Ryan Featherston
The San Luis Obispo Blues have named Ryan Featherston this week’s Player of the Week
Featherston, a Bakersfield, California native and graduate of Stockdale High School, currently pitches for the University of Oregon and has been a steady contributor for the Blues this summer. In his most recent outing against the Alameda Merchants, he delivered one of the team’s strongest pitching performances of the season. Featherston threw six innings, piling up 12 strikeouts, while allowing just one walk and one run. His dominance was capped off by a remarkable 0.66 WHIP, showcasing both command and power.
His outing not only shut down a tough Merchants lineup but also gave the Blues a crucial boost as they continue their final push for a playoff spot in the North Division. Featherston’s ability to control the game from start to finish set the tone for his team and proved why he’s one of the most reliable arms on the roster.
Congratulations to Ryan on being named Player of the Week!
