Player of the Week: Zach Tallerman
Zach Tallerman named Player of the Week two weeks in a row
San Luis Obispo Blues veteran Zach Tallerman has once again proven why he’s one of the most reliable bats in the lineup, earning Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week.
Tallerman put together another standout performance at the plate, collecting 14 hits in 34 at-bats while adding a home run, three doubles, 8 RBI, and 4 runs scored. His consistency and ability to deliver in big moments have been a driving force behind the Blues’ offensive success this summer.
A true staple of the organization, Tallerman is now in his fourth season with the Blues. His baseball journey began locally at Cuesta College, before moving on to play a season at UC Riverside and then transferring to San José State, where he slashed .261/.323/.420.
In addition to his strong summer with the Blues, Tallerman has been recognized among the league’s best, earning a spot in the prestigious California Collegiate League Showcase Game in back-to-back years.
With two straight weekly honors and a decorated career in San Luis Obispo, Tallerman continues to etch his name into Blues history as one of the program’s most impactful players.
